Winnie the Pooh is Timeless

Before I forget, I also would like to post the cake for my youngest daughter's 1st birthday that was a little while ago *cough*lastNovember*cough*

...

Aaaanyways, the theme for this first birthday was Winnie the Pooh because Pooh is timeless and a classic and I just love him! And not many one year old's really have a preference of what theme they want....

For her birthday, I wanted to make a small cake and a bazillion little mini cupcakes! Although it's not the finished product - I forgot to take a picture :( - you can see the many mini cupcakes I made the night before the party. I had strawberry, carrot, red velvet and milk chocolate cakes and had strawberry, chocolate, vanilla and cream cheese frosting to top them :) I also made some cookie-brownies because who doesn't love cookies and brownies together??

This cake was... some flavor... oh wow, I really cannot remember the flavor of this cake. I think it might have just been milk chocolate as well because my daughter looooves chocolate. Yeah, let's go with that. A simple chocolate cake with yellow fondant and then brown fondant. Some green and brown for some leaves and voila! A stump! ...sort of...

Maybe a stump with honey coming out of it? You can't tell, but I did add details to the top - some rings for a more realistic stump look.

Decorate with some Winnie the Pooh party toys - these were actually mine when I was little! And add one my favorite Winnie the Pooh quotes!

"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."

...Awwwwwwwww :D

Perfect for a one year old, wouldn't you say? :)

My little puff pastry, btw! (Indulgent Mommy Moment!)

Thank you for visiting!
Until next time!! :)
